Vending

Food vending at MDSL League and Tournament events are always a fantastic experience as you get to introduce your products and services to new customers. At our events, we select a limited number of food vendors at each of our locations during specific days and time slots to ensure that you get the biggest and best return on your investment. We know that it costs $ to purchase the products, supply staff, etc. so although we can’t make any guarantees, we want to provide the best platform to ensure that you are profitable.  

What does vending at MDSL events look like?

You know your food and clientele best, so we leave it up to you to decide what times, when, and where you would like to vend. See our times below. In addition, we do not permit other food trucks who are serving the same types of food that you are serving because we want to put your food truck in the best position to be successful.  

What do we look for in a food vendor? 

A soccer event is one of the most diverse events that you will ever attend. Since our sport is universal, you will have customers from all walks of life. From families who are there to support their child to fans who are there to support the tournament and watch games, MDSL events are a fantastic event to vend. We look for food vendors who will deliver to our customer base to help us to continue to provide a great all around experience. Food that is tasty and nourishing are what we want at our MDSL events. We also prefer local food vendors in the DC, MD, VA area because we enjoy keeping the resources circulating among our community.  

When and where will the games be held? 

MDSL Leagues and events are held all year around throughout MD, DC, and VA. Here are the dates for our 2023-2024 calendar.

• MDSL Fall Breakout – November 18-19, 2023 (Montgomery County, MD)
• MDSL Spring Classic – March 23-24, 2024 (Montgomery County, MD and DC)
• MDSL Memorial Cup – May 25-27, 2024 (Montgomery County, MD)
• MDSL/Doradus Scrimmagefest – June 15-16, 2024 (Fairfax County, MD)
• MDSL Summer Sizzler – July 13-14, 2024 (Montgomery County, MD and DC)
• MDSL Pre-season Scrimmagefest – August 25, 2024 (Montgomery County, MD)

*Note that each tournament is based in different counties throughout the MD, DC, VA area and may require specific permitting. Be sure to check with us for any permitting requirements.

How much does it cost and where do I sign up to become a vendor? 

We charge a day rate and a flat fee rate ($350) for solid foods and ($225) both days if you choose the hours of 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm. See below the daily rates and times:

Saturdays

8:00 am – 12:00 pm – $150 (Solid foods), $75 (Ice Cream, Beverages, and Bakery items)

12:00 pm – 7:00 pm – $250 (Solid foods), $125 (Ice Cream, Beverages, and Bakery items)

Sundays

8:00 am – 12:00 pm – $150 (Solid foods), $75 (Ice Cream, Beverages, and Bakery items)

12:00 pm – 6:00 pm – $200 (Solid foods), $100 (Ice Cream, Beverages, and Bakery items)

To become a vendor reach out to Kristin Virkus at info@mdslsoccer.com with the following information.

1. The name of your food truck and the type of food that you serve.
2. Your contact information: Name and phone number.
3. The tournament that you would like to vend.
4. The time slot that you would like to vend.

After you send us an email, we will then review it. If your food truck doesn’t compete with any other types of foods that have already signed up, then we will approve you. After you have been approved, then we will send you an invoice. All invoices must be paid prior to vending otherwise you will not be permitted to vend at our events.
