The MDSL is excited to host its 3rd season of the Indoor Futsal League across various facilities in Montgomery County, MD. The season will take place on the weekends from December 7, 2024 – February 22, 2025 for U-8 – High School boys and girls teams.
Teams will be flighted based on competitive level (Classic and Premier Divisions) and will receive 8 games during the season. Playoffs will be implemented at the end of the regular season, and champion and finalist medals will be issued. We will use GotSport scheduling and there will be a $25 discount per team for clubs who register 4 or more teams. For clubs registering 4 or more teams, select Check/MO in the GotSport platform and we will send you an invoice with the discounted rate to complete the registration. All teams must pay in full prior to the registration deadline.
*Note that the league holds the right to adjust divisions accordingly depending on the number of teams registered.
U-8 (2017) – U-16 (2009) – 5 v 5 ($550) – Up to 14 players on the roster). Price increases to $600 if registered after November 16th.
*Note there was an increase in cost from last year’s price because we have added a second referee for all games and the cost of the referees have increased.
Note – This league is open to Classic and Travel level teams. Travel Teams will be required to upload their approved state rosters in the GotSport system. Classic teams will be required to provide birth certificates, player liability waivers, and complete an MDSL roster. This is solely if the team doesn’t have an official roster from another league. Rosters freeze after Game #3.
The deadline to register your team(s) for the Winter season is November 23rd.
Flexible scheduling will be available to offer clubs and teams the ability to play games on Saturdays or Sundays.
MDSL Winter Futsal 2024-2025 KEY DATES to remember:
- Team Registration Deadline: November 23, 2024
- Division Structure Released: November 24, 2024
- Tentative Schedule Released to Teams Only: November 25, 2024. On this date teams can de-conflict any games that they may have up until November 26, 2024. After this window, no changes are allowed for the rest of the season.
- Master Schedule Released: November 27, 2024
- Season Starts: December 7, 2024
- Season Ends: February 22, 2025
Match Day Dates :
Teams will be guaranteed 8 Winter season matches over the season. Matchdays are as follows:
- Week 1: December 7-8, 2024
- Week 2: December 14-15, 2024
- Week 3: December 21-22, 2024
- Week 4: January 4-5, 2025
- Week 5: January 11-12, 2025
- Bye Week: January 18-19, 2025 – MLK weekend (We encourage teams to sign up for the MLK Cup powered by DCXI). Registration coming soon!
- Week 6: January 25-26, 2025
- Week 7: February 1-2, 2025
- Week 8: February 8-9, 2025
- Week 9: February 15-16, 2025 (Playoffs)
- Week 10: February 22-23, 2025 (Playoffs)
*Note that inclement weather and school closings might be a factor during the season. If it is then we will do our best to reschedule all of the games and note that some teams may have to play doubleheaders. Also keep in mind that if a team requests to play Saturday games only, that this full request may not be granted and that the team may have to play some games on Sundays.
Fees include:
- Eight (8) games per season
- Standard futsal rules and procedures developed by clubs.
- Centralized master scheduling via GotSport.
