2024 Summer League
June 29 – August 4, 2024
The MDSL is looking forward to another great summer season. The season is 5 weeks long and teams will play 7 games. The games will be played on both Saturdays and Sundays. All games are played at Manor Oaks Local Park (Brookeville, MD), White Oak Recreation (Silver Spring), and Northwest Recreational Park (Aspen Hill, MD).
The 2024 summer season will run from June 29 – August 4, 2024 for U-9 (2015) – U-14 (2010). There will also be a High School division for U-15 (2009) – U-18 (2006). Typically competitive level teams play during the summer, however, the season is open to all teams. At the end of the season, Champion and Finalist medals and trophies (Champions only) will be issued in addition to individual awards for each division: Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Striker, Best Midfielder, and Best Defender.
For registration and scheduling we use GotSport and there is a $25 discount per team for clubs who register 4 or more teams. You will need to register and we will send you an invoice so select Check/MO.
*Note – the league holds the right to adjust divisions accordingly depending on the number of teams registered.
As mentioned, each team will play between 6-7 matches during the season.
U-9 (2015) – U-12 (2012) – 7 v 7 (Up to 16 players are allowed on the roster). Cost – $450 includes 8 games and referees.
U-13 (2011) – U-18 (2006) – 9 v 9 (Up to 18 players are allowed on the roster). Cost – $525 includes 8 games and referees.
Playing Format:
- No Heading (U-8 – U-12)
- One (1) Referee per match for U12 and under.
- Two (2) Referees per match for U13 and older.
Block scheduling will be available. We will also offer double coach scheduling preference to de-conflict games.

Match Day Dates :
Teams will be guaranteed 7 Summer season matches over the season. Matchdays are as follows:
- Week 1: June 29-30, 2024
- Week 2: July 6-7, 2024
- Bye Week: (MDSL Summer Sizzler) – This is optional. If interested visit the link under Tournaments.
- Week 3: July 20-21, 2024
- Week 4: July 27-28, 2024
- Week 5: August 4-5, 2024
Fees include:
- Seven (7) to eight (8) League matches per season.
- Referee fees.
- Standard rules and procedures developed by clubs.
- Centralized master scheduling via GotSport.
