Summary
Purpose
- Ensure positive experiences for children in soccer.
- Teach sportsmanship, fair play, and respect.
- All participants must read, understand, and abide by this code.
- Violations may result in reprimand, suspension, or expulsion from leagues/events.
Players
- Play by the rules and fairly.
- Work hard for yourself and your team.
- Cooperate with coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials.
- Respect opponents at all times.
- Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
- Say “good game” to the opposing team.
- Play for fun!
Coaches
- Promote fun, friendships, and skill development.
- Treat referees, opponents, and administrators with respect.
- Provide positive reinforcement only.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are safe and age-appropriate.
- Respect the rights and dignity of all players.
- Set a positive example for players, coaches, and spectators.
- Accept official decisions, even if unfair.
- Act for the good of the game, team, and program.
Parents & Spectators
- Be your child’s biggest fan, supporting them unconditionally.
- Remember children play for fun, not for adult agendas.
- Focus on effort and improvement, not just winning.
- Encourage children to follow the rules and resolve conflicts peacefully.
- Never ridicule or yell at children for mistakes.
- Appreciate good play by all participants.
- Support safe, abuse-free environments.
- Be respectful to coaches, referees, and administrators.
- Communicate injuries or special conditions to the coach.
- Ensure your child is ready to play (uniform, safety equipment, on time).
- Respect all children regardless of gender, ability, culture, or religion.
- Accept referees’ decisions and support them as they learn.
- Let coaches coach; avoid giving instructions from sidelines.
