Summer 2023 season results (MDSL)
The MDSL and Gaithersburg Soccer School Club Summer League are happy to announce that it will be joining together for the Summer of 2024. The MDSL will manage the league and games will take place between Silver Spring and Gaithersburg.
The season is 6 weeks long and teams will play 8 games. The games will be played on both Saturdays and Sundays at White Oak Recreation (Silver Spring) and Nike Missile Local Park (Gaithersburg).
The 2024 summer season will run from June 22 – August 4, 2024 for U-7 (2017) – U-12 (2012). Typically competitive level teams play during the summer, however, the season is open to all teams. At the end of the season, Champion and Finalist medals and trophies (Champions only) will be issued in addition to individual awards for each division: Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Striker, Best Midfielder, and Best Defender.
For registration and scheduling we use GotSport and there is a $25 discount per team for clubs who register 4 or more teams. You will need to register and we will send you an invoice so select Check/MO.
*Note – the league holds the right to adjust divisions accordingly depending on the number of teams registered.
U-7 (2017) – 4 v 4 (Up to 12 players are allowed on the roster). This age group will play on two fields of 4 v 4 on each field. Coaches will be responsible for administering the games.
U-8 (2016) – 5 v 5 (Up to 12 players are allowed on the roster)
U-9 (2015) – U-10 (2014) – 7 v 7 (Up to 14 players are allowed on the roster).
U-11 (2013) – U-12 (2012) – 9 v 9 (Up to 18 players are allowed on the roster).
Cost: $450 (U-7) and $500 (U-8 – U-12) includes 8 games and referees.
Playing Format:
- No Heading (U-7 – U-11)
- One (1) Referee per match for U12 and under.
Block scheduling will be available. We will also offer double coach scheduling preference to de-conflict games.

Match Day Dates :
Teams will be guaranteed 8 Summer season matches over the season. Matchdays are as follows:
- Week 1: June 22-23, 2024
- Week 2: June 29-30, 2024
- Week 3: July 6-7, 2024

- Week 4: July 20-21, 2024
- Week 5: July 27-28, 2024
- Week 6: August 4-5, 2024
Fees include:
- Eight (8) League matches per season.
- Referee fees.
- Standard rules and procedures developed by clubs.
- Centralized master scheduling via GotSport.
- League set up
- League administration
